JACKSONVILLE – Jaguars 2025 Training Camp continued Thursday.
It was the 15th day of the first training camp under Head Coach Liam Coen, featuring about a two-hour-plus padded "scrimmage" at the Miller Electric Center. Each day throughout camp, members of Jaguars Media – senior writer John Oehser, senior reporter/editor J.P. Shadrick and team reporter Kainani Stevens – will share an observation.

- The Jaguars called Thursday's Day 15 '25 camp practice a scrimmage – and the results were a little up with a little too much down for many post-scrimmage smiles. The Jaguars, who will play the New Orleans Saints at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, La., in a Preseason Week 2 matchup on Sunday afternoon, scheduled a high-intensity "scrimmage" Thursday – with the first-team offense looking very good early and too shaky late in a two-hour session that featured extended full-field periods with the first-team offense competing against the first-team defense. Highlights Thursday were a strong early drive from the offense and a late third-down touchdown pass from quarterback Trevor Lawrence to wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr., But the offense also dropped seven passes and committed around 10 penalties overall. Offensive coordinator Grant Udinski called the practice "good work," adding, "Good to get the work and a lot to improve. I think the guys know that. We know that. So, I'm excited to dig into the tape and see what we can work on."
- A notable development: A heavy rotation at left tackle that included veterans Walker Little, Patrick Mekari, Chuma Edoga and Fred Johnson and rookie Wyatt Milum working with the first-team offense. The Jaguars made clear in the offseason the offensive line would be competitive in training camp. Here we go.

- The Jaguars worked about two hours in a scrimmage Thursday, with the physicality taking over late in practice. The defense seemed to have the upper hand a lot of the day, and safety Andrew Wingard seemed to have a good day with an interception and at least two tackles for loss in the run game. The offensive line continued to work through rotations, with players flipping positions throughout practice – even after tackle Anton Harrison left practice midway with an undisclosed injury. Rarely will an offensive line have the same starting lineup all season, so having players who can play multiple positions is huge. It's even better if they can flip sides of the center, which is tougher than you think. This offensive line group will set the tone for whatever this offense is going to be.

- If Thursday's scrimmage was a preview of the second preseason game Sunday, then expect to see more of the same in terms of unforced errors. The coaches focused on mental work this week after communication and penalty issues in a Preseason Week 1 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers last Saturday. The first-team offense appeared to be struggling Thursday and not really operating in rhythm as we have seen in past practices. Miscommunications between Lawrence and his receivers led to errant throws and dropped balls. Second-year wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr.. was visibly frustrated after some drops, but he did have an impressive touchdown catch on a crosser route toward the end of the scrimmage. I felt the defensive line put good pressure on Lawrence as some throws felt rushed. The offensive line continues to rotate as they work to solidify their starting five. Harrison left the scrimmage with a leg injury and was being helped by teammates along the sideline as he tried to keep weight off his injured leg. I imagine that will affect the starting lineup Sunday.
