JACKSONVILLE – Jaguars experts – Frank Frangie, Brent Martineau, John Oehser, Brian Sexton, J.P. Shadrick and Kainani Stevens – are breaking down the Jaguars as the 2025 NFL season approaches; today: The Jaguars' biggest curiosities and concerns entering '25 training camp.
Frank Frangie, Radio Voice of the Jaguars
- Biggest curiosity entering Training Camp: Can they improve the physicality of both lines? That was a big concern last year. They added many pieces. Will it pay off
Brent Martineau, Action Sports Jax Sports Director
- Biggest curiosity entering Training Camp: Will Jarrian Jones hold down the corner position opposite Tyson Campbell? I think we're about to find out, but that is an unknown going into the 2025 Training Camp. The Jaguars have options, but as long as we are listing options at the corner spot, that means the Jags don't have an answer. Hopefully, Jones is that answer.

- Biggest curiosity entering Training Camp: The Jaguars went 4-13 last season, changing football regimes early in the offseason. Under those circumstances, you expect major unknowns entering training camp – and the Jaguars indeed have multiple "curiosities and/or concerns" as camp approaches. Will quarterback Trevor Lawrence adapt quickly to a new offense and mesh with a slew of new skill players? Will the revamped offensive line be improved enough or will the offseason changes there be change for the sake of change? Can a similarly revamped secondary limit big plays in a way it couldn't last season? This may be a little bit of a "chalk" choice, but let's go with the offensive line as the biggest curiosity. The Jaguars signed four unrestricted free agents – Chuma Edoga, Fred Johnson, Patrick Mekari and Robert Hainsey – early in the offseason. They selected Wyatt Milumand Jonah Monheim in the NFL Draft. At least two – and maybe more – of that group likely will start Week 1. The idea was to make the line nastier and better in the run game, essentially changing the identity of the offense. The Jaguars are approaching camp as an open competition at the position. Most Jaguars fans will be more than curious about this area throughout August.

- Biggest curiosity entering Training Camp: Did they do enough in the secondary for Defensive Coordinator Anthony Campanile to do his job? Campbell looked like a top corner when minicamp ended in June, which is a good start, and they paid Jourdan Lewis to man the other side and added Travis Hunter in some capacity on that side of the football. Will Jones take a step forward and will Montaric Brown or De'Antre Prince break through to give the Jaguars options? And what about safety, where injuries and poor performances all around cost the Jags last season? Andrew Wingard is back healthy, Eric Murray arrived in free agency and Caleb Ransaw is a promising rookie. But none of them started last season, so it's all up in the air when camp opens.

- Biggest curiosity entering Training Camp: Offensive line. Did the Jaguars do enough to bolster the front? Sometimes it takes multiple offseasons to get to a place you want with offensive line personnel. Will Anton Harrison take a step at right tackle? Will Walker Little be the left tackle? Watch the training camp battles in July/August, because they should be real.

- Biggest curiosity entering Training Camp: My biggest worry entering training camp is always health. It's one of those uncontrollable things, yet a serious injury to a key player can be catastrophic. I have faith in new strength and conditioning coach Eric Ciano, who joins the Jags after over a decade working for the Buffalo Bills. The rigorous offseason training should put the players in a good spot in terms of conditioning heading into camp.
