Jaguars OL Jawaan Taylor on Henderson: "First off, he is a great kid. He works extremely hard. Of course, everyone knows how athletic he is and how good he is on the field, but he is also very good mentally, and he knows the game of football. Of course, I am pushing for him. I played two years with him in college, and I'm looking forward to hopefully suiting up with him again. I am pushing for him a lot."
Said that the CB he tries to emulate most is Patrick Peterson. "He's one of my favorites," Henderson said of Peterson. "...Not only on the field but off the field he's a great person. On the field, he's very physical. He's athletic. He finds the ball, he gets the ball."
On what NFL teams would be getting from him: "They would be getting an extremely competitive guy, who is passionate about the game and who is gonna give his best effort on every single play."
As a junior in high school, he played strictly running back, but decided a move to cornerback as a senior would be more promising for his future.
Described in multiple articles as a quiet player who lets his play do the talking.
"He's the best player I've coached, college or pro." – Florida Defensive Coordinator Todd Grantham
"Henderson is an extremely explosive and athletic cornerback prospect out of Florida. He played outside and inside on the games I studied. He is very physical in press coverage, landing a two-hand jam consistently. He is extremely loose and fluid to open up and mirror all over the field. He is rarely out of position and possesses rare makeup speed when he is caught in a bind." – Daniel Jeremiah
If selected in the first round, Henderson would be the sixth defensive back from Florida selected in the first round in the past 15 years.
If selected in the top 10, he would become the highest-selected defensive back from Florida since Cleveland selected Joe Haden with the seventh-overall pick in 2010.
